QUARTERBACKS THE WOLVERINE 2024 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 47 POSITION COACH Kirk Campbell is entering his first season as Michigan's offen- sive coordinator and second as quarterbacks coach, after serving as an offensive analyst in 2022. Last season, Campbell helped starter J.J. McCarthy earn first-team All-Big Ten honors and become U-M's first-ever win- ner of the Griese-Brees Big Ten Quarterback of the Year award before being selected No. 10 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Prior to arriving in Ann Arbor, Campbell was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Old Dominion in 2020-21, where the Monarchs averaged 28.5 points per game his final season. He was an analyst at Penn State from 2017-19, following five years as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Division II Alderson Broaddus (2012-16).
