very football team with champi-
onship aspirations tends to have
a big-time blindside protector.
Notre Dame firmly believed it
had one in sophomore Charles Jagusah.
Time to opt for option B.
Jagusah will miss the upcoming sea-
son after injuring his right shoulder and
tearing his pectoral muscle during prac-
tice Aug. 3.
Jagusah was repping with the first
team at left tackle, as expected, in three
fall camp practices open to the media in
the first week of August. He started the
Sun Bowl to close the 2023 season after
only playing five offensive snaps in the
first 12 games of the season. He was be-
hind NFL Draft picks Joe Alt and Blake
Fisher on the Notre Dame depth chart
as a true freshman.
With Alt going to the Los Angeles
Chargers and Fisher landing with the
Houston Texans, Jagusah vaulted to the
top of the Fighting Irish pecking order
at tackle. He's had a firm grasp on the
left tackle spot since Alt and Fisher left
the program.
