The senior captain earned his way on to the cover of EA Sports' College Foot- ball 2025 video game, and he became one of the team's leaders during summer workouts. Head coach Sherrone Moore brought him to Indianapolis for Big Ten Media Day as one of the team's spokes- men, where Edwards handled himself ex- tremely well. Moore soaked it up like a proud papa, happy for everything his senior had earned. At the same time, he wanted ev- eryone to know Edwards wasn't the only guy to watch in his backfield. Graduate student Kalel Mullings, a linebacker con- vert but two-way star in high school, had also put in the work to improve, and he showed up to fall camp on a mission. "The guy that's not talked about enough is Kalel Mullings," Moore said at the time. "He's going to be a force. He looks as good as he ever has. He's going to have a great year. "Watch him last year … every time he came in, he had an explosive play, a big play, runs over somebody, makes some- body miss. It [was just] hard to take the ball out of Blake Corum's hands."
