28 THE WOLVERINE ❱ SEPTEMBER 2026 BY ANTHONY BROOME T he 2022 recruiting class was an- other strong group that former head coach Jim Harbaugh and staff stacked onto a core group of play- ers that accomplished a ton during their time in Ann Arbor. The class has one re- maining member (safety Zeke Berry), but helped the team to two College Football Playoff appearances, a national cham- pionship and three victories over Ohio State. Here is a breakdown of what each player did in their U-M careers. Recruiting Name Pos. Stars ZEKE BERRY S ★★★★ Berry became a full-time starter in 2024 and started 11 games in 2025, leading the Big Ten with 10 passes defended and earn- ing All-Big Ten second-team honors from the media. He returned to U-M for a fifth season in 2026. DARRIUS CLEMONS WR ★★★★ Clemons appeared in 22 games in Ann Ar- bor, with 20 coming at wide receiver, before transferring to Oregon State in 2024. He's since transferred again and now is on the roster at Washington State. JAYDEN DENEGAL QB ★★★ After minimal game action in three years at Michigan, Denegal transferred to San Di- ego State in 2025 and started 12 games for the Aztecs, throwing for 1,807 yards and 9 touchdowns while leading the team to a 9-3 record. DAMANI DENT S ★★★ Did not see game action in 2022 and trans- ferred to Charlotte ahead of the 2023 cam- paign. Dent played last season at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. ANDREW GENTRY OT ★★★★ Appeared in 26 career contests with the Wolverines before transferring to BYU in 2025, starting every game at right tackle for the Cougars. MASON GRAHAM DL ★★★★ Arguably the crown jewel of the class, Graham took his game to another level in 2023. He appeared in 13 games and earned second-team All-America honors and an All- Big Ten first-team nod from the coaches in addition to winning Defensive MVP laurels in the Rose Bowl. After an even more stel- lar campaign in 2024, including unanimous first-team All-America honors, Graham was selected No. 5 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. 2022 CLASS REVIEW Safety Zeke Berry is the lone player still on the Wolverines' roster from the 2022 recruiting class.
