C O M W ith 22 commitments as of mid- September, Penn State still has room to make a few additions to its 2027 recruiting class, and now a few names are starting to emerge. After losing running back Aiden Gib- son to Rutgers in July, position coach Savon Huggins continues to scout a few potential targets, one of whom is Cin- cinnati native Jordan Hall. Hall spent his junior year at La Salle High School, but he missed much of the season due to an injury. Despite that setback, he still earned interest from schools like Pitt and Cincinnati, both of which he visited multiple times. How- ever, when offers didn't materialize, the 5-foot-10, 200-pound prospect com- mitted to Miami (Ohio) in June. Hall put together some very strong performances at multiple camps this past spring. He took home MVP honors at the Columbus Under Armour Camp in May, running a 4.43-second 40-yard dash and a 4.12-second shuttle. Hall also had a 9-foot, 1-inch broad jump and a 30.4-inch vertical. When you add in his 10.72-second 100-meter time, there's no questioning his speed. Over the summer, Hall transferred to nearby Princeton High School. He has gotten off to a strong start as a senior, including a 100-yard, 4-touchdown performance in a 49-6 rout of Colerain on Sept. 4. The day before that game, Hall an- nounced via social media that he was decommitting from Miami. "The coaches and players have been great to us, and the experience on cam- pus was phenomenal, but we think it's best to approach the remainder of my final season decommitted while we make a final decision in the winter," he wrote on Sept. 3. Schools up and down the East Coast have taken notice of Hall's develop- ment. Penn State was the first major program to extend a scholarship offer, doing so on Aug. 21. The Nittany Lions' offer arrived just hours after he totaled 176 yards of offense and 3 touchdowns in a 31-24 upset victory over Archbishop Moeller, the Vikings' first victory over the perennial Ohio powerhouse since 1991. Penn State's aggressiveness is now ex- pected to earn it two visits in the coming weeks. The first will be an unofficial visit for the game against Wisconsin on Sept. 26.
