OCTOBER 2026 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 13 ❱ INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS Midfielder Adi Walick appeared in 15 games with 13 starts in 2025, logging 869 minutes and leading the team with 7 assists, the second- highest mark in the Big Ten. Through the first seven contests this fall, Walick has put up 3 goals and 1 assist for a total of 7 points. Here are some things about Walick you may not have known: Best Aspect Of Being From Greenwood Village, Colo.: "Although I don't necessarily ski in Greenwood Village, my favorite part about go- ing home is going up to the mountains with my family and friends and skiing and doing tons of different outdoor activities in the winter. We do have a really pretty trail right by my house, so I love going on walks, hikes, bike rides with my dad, especially." Favorite Restaurant In Ann Arbor: "Mani Osteria. I love Italian food." Best Meal She Can Cook By Herself: "Shrimp fried rice." Favorite Professional Athlete: "Luka Modrić. He's Croatian, he played for Real Madrid for a really long time. He's an incredibly hard worker and has a super cool story about his life and how he got to where he is. And we also play a similar position, so I always watch him on the field and he's someone I try to emulate." Sport She Enjoys Besides Soccer: "I grew up Alpine ski racing. If I was still able to do that, I certainly would, and if I wouldn't have chosen soc- cer, I would've chosen ski racing as my main sport path." Favorite Movie: "'Miracle on Ice' is a movie I could watch every day on repeat." Favorite TV Show: "Ted Lasso." Why She Chose Michigan: "Michigan is a perfect combination of both athletics and academics. It's a place that, even without soccer, I would still want to come, just because of the professional oppor- tunities and the amount of people doing cool things and pushing themselves to the next level. It also has the whole athletic side, and the whole athletic department and sports programs function at such a high level." What She Hopes To Do After Michigan: "Ideally, I would be able to play professionally a little bit and then work in finance and see where that takes me." Favorite Memory At Michigan: "The spring, even though it's a grind, is when you really get to know your teammates. Waking up, going to 6 a.m. practice every single day, those are my favorite memories, because we all get through the hard together. And we know it's in preparation for the season, so when it rolls around, we're like, we all went through that hard part together and we can win any game." Overall Experience At Michigan: "It's been amazing. I wouldn't trade it for anything else. But the reason why it's been is because of the people. I've loved all my teammates, but also people I've met off the soccer field and outside of the athletic department.
