basketball recruiting Devin Robinson Visits Notre Dame By Andrew Owens C hurch View, Va., small forward Devin Robinson traveled to Notre Dame during the Michigan State weekend for his official visit. According to his AAU coach, Ben Thompson, he enjoyed his time in South Bend. "He had a good visit," Thompson said. "I think everything went well. The 6-8 forward, listed anywhere between 170 to 190 pounds, narrowed his college selections to the Irish, Hoosiers, Oklahoma State, Connecticut and Florida last month. Robinson averaged 17.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game as a junior at Christchurch (Va.) School. 247Sports rates him as a four-star prospect, the No. 1 player in Virginia, the No. 8 small forward nationally and the No. 29 overall prospect in the land. Thompson said Robinson is attracted to Notre Dame's playing style and sees himself as a right fit in the Irish offense. "Because of that, he lets his guys play and learn from mistakes and lets them do what they do best. Thompson said Robinson has vastly improved his all-around game during the past year. "The thing that really jumps out at me is versatility and his willingness to do the little things like rebound and block shots," the coach said. "He's learning how to be a better defender and not just be a one-dimensional shooter. He's trying to add bits and pieces to his game, and he's rapidly
