4. Glenn Robinson III, 6-6, F, Michigan — Robinson has added better ball handling and increased aggression to his already considerable skills, and that will make a big difference for the Wolverines. 5. Adreian Payne, 6-10, C, Michigan State — How Payne adjusts to playing the five remains to be seen, but there's no doubt he's one of the most rugged Big Ten performers around. 6. Tim Frazier, 6-1, G, Penn State — Frazier's injury absence last year wounded Penn State deeply, and he became a forgotten man. He'll be issuing quick reminders this season. 7. Keith Appling, 6-1, G, Michigan State — Appling suffered shooting lapses and other struggles at times last year, but he's still the one that makes MSU go. 8. Nik Stauskas, 6-6, G, Michigan — Added weight and strength should go a long way toward rounding out his game. The deadly three-point shot remains. 9. Andre Hollins, 6-1, G, Minnesota — Hollins' hot hand kept the Gophers a threat at all times last season. 10. Roy Devyn Marble, 6-6, G, Iowa — The Hawkeyes haven't enjoyed much success in recent years, but Marble gives them a big guard around which to anchor. This Handful Is A Handful 1. Michigan State — It says here, No. 1 in the nation is too high. No. 1 in the Big Ten might be also, but Tom Izzo brings plenty back. 2. Michigan — The Wolverines are loaded, but it all depends on point guard development. That's been done pretty well recently in Ann Arbor. 3. Ohio State — Craft is among four returning starters for the Buckeyes, who are looking to build off an Elite Eight appearance. 4. Wisconsin — It's the Bo Ryan grinder, year after year. Not pretty, but don't ever bet against a top-half finish. 5. Indiana — Yes, attrition gutted the roster. But watch out for point guard Yogi Ferrell and an amazing freshman class. — John Borton Pesky Ohio State point guard Aaron Craft is one of the league's top defenders, and he will try to lead the Buckeyes even further than their Elite Eight showing of last year. photo by Lon Horwedel
