about his past, present and future

nly a Notre Dame
football quarterback
can be featured in a fourpage Sports Illustrated
spread during the regular
season — while not even
playing for the Fighting
Irish.
Such was the deal with
2012 Notre Dame starting quarterback Everett
Golson, who has been
on a semester-long suspension from the school
but was featured in the
Nov. 4 edition of SI. The
digital version on SI.com
was available earlier in
the week.
The exclusive interview with writer Andy
Staples on SI.com included most of the basics
reported over the past
five months:
• Golson was suspended because of an
honor code violation.
• He has been training this fall in California

return to Notre Dame and take part in bowl game practices in December.
