inside michigan athletics Favorite Professional Athlete: "LeBron James right now. He's a lot of fun to watch." Role Model: "My mom, Stephanie, has always been a pretty big role model for me. She is very hard working, and she always looks out for everyone else." Major: "Psychology." What He Hopes To Do After College: "I'm looking to get into either sports psychology or work my way up into some sort of management position where I can deal with people throughout organizations. I like working with people." His Overall U-M Experience: "If I could wrap up my experience at Michigan in a single word, I would say, 'Awesome.' In the truest sense of the word, it has been awesome. It's been one heck of a crazy ride, and it keeps going." — Andy Reid TheWolverine.com's Facebook Feed Michigan was expected to land the nation's No. 1 recruit, five-star defensive end Da'Shawn Hand, but Hand instead committed to Alabama. So we asked on our page, which you can find at www.facebook.com/TheWolverineMagazine, what was your reaction was to Hand's decision? Freddie Matthews: "We'll be OK. Hand would've been icing on the cake. Two program changers in the same recruiting class would've been huge. Would have definitely changed the national perception that the most talented kids go play ball in the South." R. Erik Peterson: "Hand seems like a good guy. I wish him luck and move on." Lynn Williams: "Why would he choose Michigan over Alabama? Top player in the county has choice between one of the top rated teams in the country or a team not even rated. Easy choice to make, and I LOVE Michigan." Jared Maida: "I wouldn't have been upset if everything wasn't pointing to Michigan." Rick Hall: "Disappointment, not anger. Michigan will survive without him." Jeffery Cole: "Shocked considering every major expert picked Michigan, and Hand said his education would be the tale of the tape." Brian Nylaan: "Winning is the magnet, not academics." Wesley Rodgers: "The same feeling that Ralphie had when he opened the mailbox just to find out his decoder ring still had not arrived. Aw, skunked again. Really, I know that one person does not make a team, but it would've been cool to pick him up. Just sick of the SEC getting the pick of the litter." Shane Sweet: "Alabama is the place to be. I think if we were having a better year he comes to Michigan but the dude wants to play for national titles, so why not Bama?"
