Burke suffered a broken finger in the preseason, but the former Michigan point guard and NCAA National Player of the Year was getting closer to a return, Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin told The Deseret News Nov. 18. Burke was cleared for one-on-one workouts Nov. 11. "I'm very anxious to get everything that we have on the floor," Corbin said. "He's actually feeling a lot better. Hopefully [Nov. 19], we can get him in some practice. I'm encouraged by his progress thus far and … how he said he's feeling." Burke was slated for limited contact drills despite still playing with pins that were inserted into his shooting hand in an early October surgery. He's slated to be re-evaluated Nov. 25. "We'll see where we go from there," Corbin said. "After the workout, we fly and see if he's sore." Corbin is anxious to see his entire team in action. The Jazz started the year 1-11 as of Nov. 18. "Once we get them back, we've got to get them in shape.
