basketball recruiting Indiana back on top," Blackmon Jr. said of his decision. "I think I can get them back on top and where they need to be." At one point, it appeared a foregone conclusion Michigan would sign another in the 2014 group. Now we'd predict they won't. The fourman class of Doyle, Wilson, Hatch and Chatman is a very good group, especially complementing this year's freshman class. Everything we've seen from Walton Jr. indicates he'll be as good as advertised — ditto Irvin. We've heard great things about freshman big man Donnal, too. He's going to help, even though he'll likely redshirt this year. He can shoot it, and he's becoming more confident and aggressive offensively. Wilson and Chatman's additions likely ended Michigan's chances for 2014 forward Jonah Bolden of Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep. Bolden recently gave a list of four schools recruiting him the hardest. "I'm going to be cutting my list down soon, but I'd say the ones that are working hard on me now are UCLA, SMU, Louisville and Indiana," he told ZagsBlog.com. "That's probably the top right there." Michigan was the Rivals.com's No. 62 senior prospect's favorite at one point, but the Aussie transplant hadn't taken either the ACT or SAT and has been slow to get his transcripts out to schools, those in Las Vegas tell us. Given the importance Michigan coaches put on grades that could have been an issue, especially with international academics in play. We don't see that one progressing and — barring the emergence of a late shooting guard stud — believe the coaches are done with their 2014 class. That leaves plenty of room (at least three scholarships) in the 2015 class, especially if Robinson III and McGary leave for the NBA, as expected. Michigan is strong with many 2015 recruits, including 6-4, 180-pound Texas forward Tyler Williams, the No. 144 player in the class according to Rivals.com. Williams has visited twice and holds offers from Houston, SMU, Iowa State and Texas A&M. He is also receiving interest from Texas, Michigan State, Arizona, Kansas, Virginia and Virginia Tech. LaPorte, Ind., four-star shooting guard Jalen Coleman, the No. 34 junior nationally; South Carolina fourstar shooting guard P.J. Dozier, the No. 33 prospect in his class: Illinois four-star point guard Jalen Brunson, the No. 28 junior in the country; and, potentially, Franklin, Ohio, five-star shooting guard Luke Kennard, the No. 16 recruit in the class of 2015, are also high on the list. The 6-5 Kennard currently has Kentucky on top, but Michigan has always been right there. ❑   On The Web For regular reports on basketball recruiting, plus videos of all the top prospects in the nation and Michigan's commitments, visit TheWolverine.com.
