But after several close games with the likes of Akron and UConn, a 62-point game with absolutely no defense, and now the worst offensive effort in Michigan football history. What is there to get excited about? I don't know how you get the players up for the next game. Several stated to me this morning that it is a good thing we have StubHub to help us sell those unwanted OSU tickets. Never thought I would hear that statement. I want my old team back. And it better happen soon or we will lose another generation of faithful. Gregg Elliott Brooklyn, Mich. Greg, one of the keys to the Michigan greatness you remember involves continuity. The Wolverines haven't had that for a while, and it shows. The building blocks for the powerful offensive lines you remember are in their first or second season. The Wolverines could be 9-1 this season but for near misses, though it's obvious there's plenty of work to be done. The frustration is understandable. The fix isn't easy, or quick. A Screwed-Up Schedule Dear The Wolverine: I just read the 2014 Michigan football schedule and I can't believe that the Wolverines are scheduled to play away two years in a row in East Lansing and Evanston. What is the Big Ten thinking? Oh, I almost forgot, they are not! First, they bring in two teams that have no business in the Big Ten, which has left many scratching their heads. They realign the divisions and get rid of great matchups like Michigan and Nebraska except only sparsely going forward. Does anyone ever want to see Michigan versus Rutgers? So with a Wolverine team that is trying to rebuild, the Big Ten big-wigs
