Photo by lon horwedel Recruiting Misfires Handicap Wolverines Looking at the five recruiting classes that make up this Michigan team, there are 14 current scholarship offensive linemen — 17 were originally signed but Quinton Washington moved to defensive line in 2010, Christian Pace had a career-ending injury in 2010 and Tony Posada did not last his first fall camp in 2011 — and among the 14, 10 are in their redshirt (four) or true freshman (six) campaigns. Rich Rodriguez signed three offensive linemen in 2009 — Taylor Lewan, Michael Schofield and Washington (moved to defense by Rodriguez) — while he landed just Pace in 2010 (remarkably Pace was the only offensive lineman to make an official visit).
