Twitter, Instagram, all of that. She follows every move I make." Robinson describes his relationship with his dad, who was on hand to watch the Wolverines a number of times last season, as "good." The younger Glenn recognizes his father possessed basketball skills beyond good. "I actually have a lot of film of him at home," he said. "I just go on You- Tube occasionally and watch some clips. Some of the stuff he did was pretty amazing." Now it's Glenn Robinson III's turn. It's his time. He knows all of what went into reaching a surreal stage in early April, including some breaks. Headphones at the ready, he's not about to shy away from another loud and forceful climb. ❏ Robinson Looks To Match Scorching Starts Glenn Robinson III got out of the gate reasonably well in November. He not only claimed a captain's title on John Beilein's squad, he averaged 13.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in Michigan's first three games. Beilein demands that all his players blend in and remain unselfish, recognizing the multiple scoring options at the Wolverines' disposal. So there isn't any pressure to match the numbers of some of Michigan's hottest 10-game starts over the past few decades. Here is a sample of how some of U-M's bigger basketball names tore up nonconference opponents … • Trey Burke averaged 15.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game over Michigan's first 10 last year. He wound up averaging 18.6 points and 6.7 assists on his way to consensus National Player of the Year honors. • Manny Harris averaged 21.6 points and 4.9 assists per game during the first 10 games of his third and final year in a Michigan uniform, 2009-10. He wound up averaging 18.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists. • Robert Traylor averaged 14.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in the first 10 of 1997-98, his last year in a Michigan uniform. He finished with averages of 16.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in Michigan's last NCAA Tournament season prior to Beilein's arrival. • Chris Webber got out of the gate averaging 20.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in Michigan's Final Four campaign of 1992-93. He finished the year averaging 19.1 points and 10.1 rebounds. • That same season, Jalen Rose started out averaging 15.1 points and 4.4 assists per game. He wound up averaging 15.4 points and 3.9 assists in Michigan's run to the title game. • In Glen Rice's final year, culminating in a national championship, he averaged a blistering 23.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game to open the campaign. He finished even better, averaging 25.4 points and 6.3 rebounds, with a ring. — John Borton
