• In the 2015 Shamrock Series game, the
Irish will revisit their series with Boston College
in a Nov. 21 matchup at
Fenway Park. The next
season, Notre Dame and
Army will play at San
Antonio in the 2016 edition of the off-site Irish
home game. Swarbrick
indicated that the priority for the next round of
Shamrock Series contests
will involve matchups in
the mid-Atlantic, midSouth and South, with
Florida, Atlanta and
Charlotte mentioned
specifically. He offered
the San Francisco 49ers'
stadium, which will debut in 2014, as a potential fit as well.
• Swarbrick said he
and Michigan athletics
director Dave Brandon
have not discussed when
the two programs might
play again. He did, however, express the desire
to schedule a home-andhome series with an SEC
foe later this decade.
"If there's one sort of
big thing we still have
the flexibility to do,
it's [playing an SEC
school]," Swarbrick said.
"We tried very hard to
preserve that when we
were moving all these
chess pieces. We probably have room in this
decade for one more
home and home with
somebody."
