Recruiter of record: Former cornerbacks coach Richard McNutt. Quotable: "He moves so well at that size, and players like that don't come a dime a dozen. Those are the diamonds in the rough." — Wise head coach DaLawn Parrish. Dave Doeren on Till: "He's another tight end and also an excellent basketball player. He's a very serious kid, very locked in on what he does. I know he's going to want to compete." Scouting report: Massive size for a high school tight end, but moved well enough to line up at receiver at times for Wise High … Displayed soft hands when participating in the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour stop in Richmond, Va. 2014 projection: With just two scholarship tight ends returning from last year's team, it is almost certain that one if not two freshman tight ends will have to line up this fall for NC State. Till will be one of three in the class competing for that opportunity. KENTAVIUS STREET ■ DE Greenville (N.C.) Recruiter of record: Running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Des Kitchings Quotable: "Ever since early in the summer when I visited, I knew it was the only university I could see myself at, and it is close to home. I talked to my mom and then my dad, and he may even move back to town [from Texas], so this might end up being a great thing for me." — Street Dave Doeren on Street: "I'm really excited to get the best defensive player in the state of North Carolina this year. Kentavius is a guy that exemplifies the personality we're looking for — he's a very positive young man." Scouting report: Very physically gifted defensive end with powerful build and explosive athleticism … Played in a 3-down lineman set in high school and could thrive with move to outside in 4-3 formation NCSU uses. 2014 projection: Because of numbers, a couple of true freshmen are almost locked into playing this fall. MARCELIAS SUTTON ■ RB Warsaw (N.C.) Recruitment: Had an offer from East Carolina and Charlotte prior to showing up at NC State's summer camp in June … A standout performance led by an unofficial record for the longest standing broad jump in State camp history earned Sutton an offer from the Wolfpack … Sutton verbally committed to NCSU June 25. Recruiter of record: Running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Des Kitchings. Quotable: "He runs hard. His highlight tape looks good, but if you watch some of the three- or four-yard runs, when he gets hit at the line and finds that extra yard, that's where I think he's going to be great — yards after contact." — James Kenan head coach Ken Avent. Dave Doeren on Sutton: "I've never seen anybody do what he did in our camp. He broad jumped from two feet 11-5, which is freakish to jump like that. He doesn't play 5-9, 180. He plays like he's 230 pounds." Scouting report: Tremendous explosion and acceleration … Smaller running back with thick lower body … Has the versatility to end up being a defensive back or perhaps even a slot receiver. 2014 projection: NCSU has fairly good depth at running back going into 2014, and Sutton is a good bet to redshirt unless he gets a tryout at defensive back. 44-53.Recruiting Bios.indd 52 2/25/14 2:58 PM
