Comeback for several top
Notre Dame football and
basketball players.

Golson already was read-
mitted this January after
having to leave school for
the 2013 summer and fall
semesters because of what
he admitted to Sports Illus-
trated was academic cheat-
ing or "something like
that."
T h i s D e c e m b e r, t h e
leading scorer for the
men's basketball team,
Jerian Grant, and the top
returning receiver in foot-
ball, DaVaris Daniels (49
catches for 745 yards and
seven touchdowns last
season), both were dis-
missed for the spring 2014
semester because of poor
academic performance,
but both plan to return this
summer.
In a February interview
with Jeremy Fowler of
CBSSports.com, Daniels
said his scholastic setback
was dipping under the
university required 2.0
grade-point average after
posting D grades in his
Daniels plans to be readmitted at Notre Dame in the summer,
when he will need to make the grades to play this fall.
