man standout and current starting left
tackle Ronnie Stanley, who was just one
of many players he met with over the
weekend.
"I spent some time with Ronnie, [ju-
nior slot receiver] Will Mahone, [junior
linebacker] John Turner and I even got
to see [former Irish linebacker] Manti
Te'o," Fertitta said. "That was pretty
cool. They were just telling me that
Notre Dame is the place to be and that
I'll never regret this decision. They said
that I made the right choice."
Fertitta said his recruitment is over
and that he will sign with Notre Dame
next February. Now he hopes to attract
some of the nation's top prospects to
join him in Notre Dame's 2015 recruit-
ing class.
"My main focus is to get [Bishop Gor-
man tight end] Aliz'e Jones and [Bishop
Gorman wide receiver] Cordell Broadus
here with me," Fertitta said. "They are
both good friends of mine. I want to visit
with both of them when they come here.
"I'm pretty sure they'll visit at some
point. I'm also targeting [Concord (Ca-
lif.) De La Salle defensive tackle] Kahlil
McKenzie and [Pleasanton (Calif.) Foot-
hill cornerback] Isaiah Langley. I talked
with Isaiah and his dad, and they were
both pretty high on Notre Dame." ✦
"I WALKED INTO THE LOCKER ROOM, AND THAT'S WHEN
I KNEW I WAS READY TO BE IRISH. I JUST FELT ALL THE ENERGY
AND THOUGHT ABOUT ALL THE TRADITION, AND I PUT ON
THE JERSEY AND EVERYTHING JUST FELT RIGHT ABOUT IT."
