With one year left in school, Sugiyama is locking in on individual and team goals
athletically while continuing to build towards her dream job in filmmaking anima-
tion.
"I have always been into drawing and painting, so I narrowed it down to the sec-
ond half of the animation process, which is more like detail work with lighting, hair,
fabrics," she said. "The actual animation process of making the characters move or
creating the characters in the 3D program, I am not that interested in.
"My dream is to be able to work for a company like DreamWorks and make mov-
ies and create the films that everyone loves."
