2 This season will mark only the second time in the 88-game series with Navy, dating back to 1927, that the two pro- grams will play at night. The first was in head coach Lou Holtz's first season (1986), a 33-14 Irish victory in Baltimore. If the final two Notre Dame road games this season — Arizona State (Nov. 8) and USC (Nov. 29) — are moved to night as expected, it will mark the second consecutive year the Irish will have played all six road games at night, and 16 straight overall in the regular season. The most recent regular-season away day game was a 15-12 win at Pitt on Sept. 24, 2011. 4 Notre Dame's rating from USA Today's College Football Fan Index question: "Which school has the best field?" Boise State's blue turf received the top mention because of its unique brand, followed by UCLA's Rose Bowl and Tennessee's Neyland Stadium, famed for its orange and white checkerboard end zone. The new FieldTurf enhanced Notre Dame's rating, with its overall look described as "spare, but classic." 6 Blocked kicks recorded by 2004-07 Notre Dame defensive lineman Trevor Laws, unofficially the most in school his- tory, with three of them coming in his final season. Current Notre Dame junior nose guard Jarron Jones already had four entering the Florida State game Oct. 18, and he has two more years of eligibility remaining in 2015-16. 25 Appearances by Notre Dame on ESPN's College Game- Day program as one of the two teams in that week's showcase game, most recently at Florida State Oct. 18. The original GameDay was held at Notre Dame on Nov. 13, 1993, in the No. 1 versus No. 2 showdown with the Seminoles. The Irish are sixth in such appearances, behind Florida (34), Ohio State (31), Alabama and Florida State (30 apiece) and Oklahoma (29). 71 Yards receiving by Notre Dame sophomore running back Tarean Folston on his five catches versus North Carolina Oct. 11. That was the most receiving yards by an Irish back since Darius Walker 's nine catches for 73 yards in a 35-21 victory versus Purdue on Sept. 30, 2006. In fact, it was more receiving yards by Folston than any Irish back had during the entire 2013 season.
