UNDER THE DOME 1930 The most recent season in which Notre Dame had a 5-0 November. Head coach Knute Rockne's final Fighting Irish team not only won all five contests from Nov. 1-29, but clinched its second straight consensus national title with a 27-0 victory at USC Dec. 6 to cap the 10-0 regular season. This year will mark the first time since 2008 Notre Dame will have an opportunity to be 5-0 in November. That '08 team was 1-4. 70.9 Percent of Notre Dame's total offense achieved by senior quarterback E V E R E T T GOLSON during the 6-0 start at the halfway point of the regular season with his 1,892 yards (1,683 passing and 209 rushing). Per ESPN Stats, there were 21 "Power Five" quarterbacks the past five years that accounted for at least 70 percent of their team's offense — and only Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel in 2012 played on a team that won at least 10 games. The average for those 21 teams was six wins. PHOTO BY BILL PANZICA
