The Irish rally for a 14-6 triumph with a short touchdown pass from Tom Clements to Pete Demmerle (the lone Irish pass completion in the second half during a 5-of-22 passing day) and a 40-yard intercep- tion return for a score by freshman safety Randy Harrison with 2:12 left.
