He's a team man and doesn't want to take any attention from Ben Davis' run at a championship this season. With his commitment out of the way, all recruit- ing talk will come to a screeching halt. "I'm really focused on my senior season and my team and getting that done," Bilal said. "That's my only pri- ority right now. That's the biggest deal for me. "My visits to Notre Dame will be after the season. I'll probably get up there for the banquet and just to be around the team and get to know everyone a little better. Right now, though, it's all about my team and winning these games." Once Bilal's senior campaign is com- plete, he will head to San Antonio to participate in the Army All-American Game festivities. It's a well-deserved honor for the one of the nation's pre- mier linebackers. FILM ANALYSIS Strengths Asmar Bilal has a quick first step and an explosive overall style of play … He's light on his feet, fast, athletic and agile … He's smooth in coverage, and he can get sideline to sideline with ease … He plays the game with passion and intensity, and packs a punch when he hits defenders … He's a smart, heady ballplayer … His high school head coach praised his overall knowledge of the game … Is a very instinctive player. Areas For Improvement Bilal will need to continue adding mass to his lean frame … Tends to try to lay the big hit too often instead of wrapping up … Thud tackles often, which allows some ball carriers to bounce off and stay upright … Needs to improve his hands … Drops a few interceptions when the opportunity arises. — Tom Loy
