"If Will Fuller practices the way he
did last week, [Hunter] will get a lot
more playing time," Kelly said Nov. 4,
after Fuller had just three catches for 16
yards and a score against Navy. "That's
the way he played."
Kelly and Denbrock moved Hunter
behind Fuller because they thought that
was the most likely spot for Hunter to
see playing time. When the baseball
star's son was finally healthy this sea-
son, Notre Dame already had a solid
Fuller posted team highs in receptions (46), receiving yards (599) and touchdown catches (nine) during
the first eight games of the season.
