are Howard Jones (Iowa and USC), Johnny Majors (Pitt and Tennessee), Dennis Erickson (Miami and Oregon State) and Nick Saban (Michigan State and Alabama). 7 Sacks recorded by Arizona State, the most against a Fighting Irish team since USC also had seven in a 38-0 victory on Oct. 20, 2007. Earlier that same year, Michigan had eight sacks versus the Irish (also a 38-0 defeat) and Georgia Tech nine in the season-opening 33-3 loss. The Irish surrendered only eight sacks for 63 yards all of last season. 10 Touchdown receptions this season by Irish sophomore wideout Will Fuller after catch- ing a nine-yard score with 11 seconds left in the first half. Tied for fourth this year in the Football Bowl Subdivision for most scoring catches entering the Arizona State game, Fuller tied Golden Tate's 2008 record for TD catches in a season by a Notre Dame sophomore. 55 Points scored against Notre Dame by the Sun Devils, the most since a 58-7 defeat at No. 4 Miami in Irish head coach Gerry Faust's final game on Nov. 30, 1985. 168 Points allowed by Notre Dame in its last four games, versus North Carolina (43), Florida State (31), Navy (39) and Arizona State (55), an average of 42.0 per contest. Although it hasn't been all the fault of the defense, it is the most points ever scored against the Irish over a four-game stretch. The previous high was 152 during the 3-9 season in 2007, when Notre Dame lost consecutive game to Boston College (27-14), USC (38-0), Navy (46-44 in triple overtime) and Air Force (41-24). 2002 The last year Arizona State defeated an Associated Press top-10 team, winning 45-42 at No. 6 Oregon on Oct. 19. That streak ended with the victory versus Notre Dame, which was No. 8 in the AP poll entering the game. Arizona State's Todd Graham became the fifth head coach in history to defeat Notre Dame at two different schools, and in the process evened his record (2-2) in head-to-head meetings with Brian Kelly.
