ND SPORTS the last two seasons, the only opponent to be able to claim as much. Virginia topped Notre Dame 2-0 in the 2013 regular season before fighting to a 3-3 draw in the ACC Tournament semifi- nals, a match the Irish won on penalty kicks 4-3. The two tied 1-1 Sept. 21 and were slated to play each other in the ACC Tournament Nov. 9. "There's no question, to some ex- tent, that this team has been our bogey team," Clark said of Virginia. "They were the two blemishes for us last year." The 1-1 tie this season was the lone game Klekota missed during the regu- lar season campaign — he was stuck in South Bend with a concussion. Doctors discouraged him from watching televi- sion, a suggestion he disregarded. "I was happy I was able to watch our team," he said. "We played pretty well, but there was a lot of things I think we could have done better that we've im- proved on throughout the season. I'm really looking forward to the chance to play them again." Ranked ninth, Virginia not only poses a conference issue, but also very well could reappear in front of the Irish in the NCAA Tournament. "The tournament is just really fun," he said. "Every team knows it's win or go home. That's the difficulty of the tournament situation. Every team is fighting for their lives. It's hard. "It's all about if you can impose your will and your style on the other team to send them home. That little extra bit about going home is awesome." ✦ 1-800-421-7751 • www.BlueGoldOnline.com 2015 NOTRE DAME CAlENDARs Action Calendar Item #6450 $15.99 + S&H Vintage Wall Calendar Item #6451 $21.95 + S&H Vintage Desktop Calendar Item #6452 $12.95 + S&H All Calendars In stock Now!
