with a 105-52 victory, Notre Dame
faced its first huge test of the season at
No. 15 Michigan State Nov. 19. Some
of McGraw's concerns came to frui-
tion, even though the Irish emerged
with a 71-63 victory.
Sophomore forward Taya Reimer
was a complementary piece last year
while playing with All-Americans Mc-
Bride, Jewell Loyd and Achonwa, but
this year she has to provide consistent
post play. Against the Spartans, early
foul trouble took Reimer out of the
flow (and game) and she finished with
only two points and three rebounds in
15 minutes.
Freshman phenom and forward Bri-
anna Turner in her first road test was
held scoreless in the first half, when
Junior guard Jewell Loyd's game-high 28 points helped the Irish recover from a tough first half and notch
a 71-63 win over the Spartans Nov. 19.
