PREP PROFILES Notre Dame has continued its pur- suit of another top running back from the 2015 class to join Warrington (Pa.) Central Bucks South four-star back and Irish commit Josh Adams. Nashville (Tenn.) Pearl Cohn three- s t a r K e ' S h a w n Vaughn — Rivals. com's No. 11 pros- pect in Tennessee and the No. 31 run- ning back nation- ally — is the latest ball carrier to add an offer from the Irish. "I talked to Coach [Tony] Alford, the running backs coach, and he said I had an offer from Notre Dame," the 5-10, 199-pound back said. "It's very big for me. Com- ing from Notre Dame, that's huge. I'm going to try to get up there some- time in January. We haven't picked a date, but that's when I'll get there. "Coach Alford was cool. I liked him. I just need to visit and talk with him more. I will say this — he's real. He was upfront about everything and honest. He definitely wasn't trying to be a friend and make me feel good. He was just simple about his message and just said that he wanted me at Notre Dame." Vaughn holds offers from North Carolina, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, Lou- isville and others. However, there are two schools sitting near the top of his leader board. "Purdue and Louisville are very high on my list right now," Vaughn said. "I visited both s c h o o l s a l r e a d y. Other than that, I have Notre Dame now and I'll visit there. I also try to keep in touch with j u s t a b o u t e v e r y college that offered me. I think Florida is supposed to offer me soon. " I ' m l o o k i n g for a school where I can get on the field early. I think I can help a team out right away, and I'm looking to do that. I've heard that I could do that from Purdue. That's big for me. I'm just waiting to see what the other schools have to say." Vaughn turned in an outstanding performance during his final high school season, scoring 45 touchdowns and running for 2,600 yards. As a ju- nior, he scored 30 touchdowns and ran for 2,407 yards. "I'm probably going to make my decision on signing day," Vaughn said. "I'm getting closer. I need to visit a few places still and I'll be good then." — Tom Loy Tennessee Back Is Giving Notre Dame A Late Look KE'SHAWN VAUGHN ✪ ✪ ✪ Pearl-Cohn High School Nashville, Tenn.
