Recruiting Notes • One of the top targets for Notre Dame from the class of 2015 is Anaheim (Calif.) Servite four-star wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown. Along with plenty of West Coast programs, Notre Dame is in a close battle for the 6-5, 205-pound prospect. However, national perception is the Irish are the favorite and Utah is in the hunt as well. "I'd say Utah, Notre Dame, Stanford, USC, UCLA and Washington State are the only schools I'm considering at this point," St. Brown said. "Utah, Notre Dame and Washington State are the ones that are coming after me the hardest. "Notre Dame leads right now. I'm still considering the other schools, but I'd say Notre Dame leads at this point." St. Brown has been high on the Irish for months. His interested peaked when he visited South Bend June 10. "Notre Dame offers a great education and offers so much after football," St. Brown said. "I'd be set for life. There is also great chance for me to play as a freshman there if I work. It's just a great school." Most may not know it, but Notre Dame gained an advantage a few months ago when four-star quarterback Brandon Wimbush committed to the Irish. St. Brown and Wimbush developed a strong connection that weekend and have talked regularly ever since. "Brandon is working on me really hard," St. Brown said. "He wants me to come play with him at Notre Dame. We actually visited South Bend together, and we both liked it there. He obviously committed, and I'm still undecided." St. Brown will announce his commitment on ESPN during its National Signing Day coverage Feb. 5. "I just need to take a little more time to think about my options," St. Brown said. "I've got three visits left, but I'm not sure I'm going to take them." Per Rivals.com, St. Brown is the No. 121 overall player in the country, the No. 12 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 19 prospect in California in the class of 2015. — Tom Loy ST. BROWN
