UNDER THE DOME Irish student-athletes excelling on the field and in the classroom Patrick Hodan — Soccer Following up on his ACC Offensive Player of the Year honors in November, the junior midfielder was awarded ACC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year distinction in February. It marks the second straight season a Notre Dame men's soccer player received the award. Former Irish forward Harrison Shipp, now with Major League Soc- cer club Chicago Fire, earned the honor in 2013-14. Emma Reaney — Swimming Notre Dame's most decorated swimmer in school history won the 100-yard breaststroke at the ACC Championships for the second year in a row, setting a pool record with a time of 58.72 seconds. The senior also broke the pool record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:07.69, but she took home second place after Virginia sophomore Laura Simon just out-touched her with a 2:07.48. At the upcoming NCAA Championships, Reaney is seeded fifth overall in the 100 breaststroke and fourth in the 200 breaststroke. She holds the American record in the 200 with a 2:04.06. Molly Seidel — Track The junior distance runner was named the Most Valuable Track Performer at the ACC Indoor Championships after sweeping the distance events. Seidel won the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:10.63 and the 5,000 meters in 15:55.84, helping the women's team to a third-place finish. Mikey Wynne — Lacrosse The freshman attack led the No. 2 Irish to a 3-0 start by scoring 13 goals. He found the back of the net six times in the season-opening 14-12 win over George- town Feb. 14, tallied four goals in a 17-8 victory versus Michigan Feb. 21, and posted a hat trick in a 20-5 triumph against Dartmouth Feb. 28.
