IRGINIA ADDED 23 members to its
football family in the class of 2015,
with two enrolling early and the re-
maining 21 inking their letters of in-
tent on National Signing Day Feb. 4.
It wasn't the sort of star-studded group that
Cavaliers fans have become accustomed to over
the years, but head coach Mike London said he
believes the recruiting class addressed some very
specific needs.
"This group is very versatile," London said.
"Many of these guys are star athletes in other
sports, particularly basketball. We like the fact
that it's a group full of talented athletes who can
bring a lot to our football program."
The class was ranked as the ninth-best haul in
the ACC and No. 44 nationally by Rivals.com, and
was headlined by a pair of four-star linebackers in
C.J. Stalker and Jahvoni Simmons.
Stalker, a 6-2, 225-pound prospect from West
Chester (Ohio) Lakota West, racked up 241 tack-
les, 27 stops for loss and 9.5 sacks during his prep
career. His 139 tackles this past year is the school
record for most in a season. Selected by the As-
sociated Press as a first-team all-state performer,
