BASEBALL (21-14, 6-6 BIG TEN) Michigan posted 2-1 series wins over Maryland March 28-29, Indiana April 4-5 and Penn State April 11-12 … U-M was one of the Big Ten's top hitting teams, leading the conference in batting av- erage (.299) and ranking second in doubles (74) through April 12 … Center fielder Jackson Glines led Michigan in hitting with a .377 batting average in 122 at-bats, while right fielder Carmen Benedetti had team highs in doubles (12), RBI (37) and slugging percentage (.543) … The Wolverines will host Iowa May 1-3 and Northwestern May 8-10 at the Wilpon Complex. MEN'S GOLF The Wolverines placed fourth among 14 teams at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate event April 11-12 in Columbus, Ohio … Michigan struggled through the Aggie Invitational April 4-5 in College Station, Texas, finishing ninth among 11 teams … Freshman Kyle Mueller was Michigan's top overall performer in Columbus (sixth) and College Station (placing 21st), and has now led the Wolverines in eight of 10 events this year … Mueller led the Maize and Blue with a 72.41 stroke average through April 12 … U-M will participate in the Big Ten Championships April 24-26 in Newburgh, Ind., and is looking for im- provement over its 12th-place showing a year ago. WOMEN'S GOLF At the SDSU Farms Invitational March 23-25, Michigan went 1-3 in head-to- head match play, beating Boise State 3.5-1.5 for the program's lone victory … Freshman Megan Kim continued to lead the Maize and Blue in scoring with a 75.65 stroke average in 17 rounds this year … Sophomore Grace Choi was second with a 75.88 stroke average, also in 17 rounds … Kim's mark was barely off the freshman record of 75.64 strokes per round estab- lished by Choi in 2014 while the average ranked sixth overall in program history … U-M has one more tune-up meet April 18-19 in Columbus, Ohio, before heading to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Champion- ships April 24-26. MEN'S GYMNASTICS Paced by a trio of All-Americans in ju- nior Nolan Novak, senior Stacey Ervin and freshman Dmitri Belanovski, Michigan finished fourth nationally at the NCAA Championships April 11 in Norman, Okla. … The Wolverines, with a team score of 437.650, finished behind Oklahoma (447.050), Stanford (440.450) and Penn State (439.500), while beating out Cal (432.100) and Iowa (427.450) … Michigan placed third at the Big Ten Champion- ships March 27, its lowest finish since tak- ing fourth at the 2008 meet … Ervin and classmate Nick Hunter had the top scores of the team finals on floor exercise (16.15) and the parallel bars (15.45), respectively, with Hunter earning the conference title at the individual event finals March 28 with a score of 15.375 … In the NCAA
