FOOTBALL RECRUITING summer. Jones is a big-hitting safety who spends most of his time at the high school level playing in the box as a linebacker-like hybrid. He does have the pure athleticism to stand out as a center fielder against the pass, as well. LB DONTAVIOUS JACKSON Houston Elsik • 6‑2, 238 Four-star recruit, No. 32 player in Texas, and No. 9 inside linebacker and No. 229 overall prospect nationally Jackson visited Michigan for the annual spring game, along with a teammate, safety Chris Brown, who also holds a Wolverine offer, The duo enjoyed themselves, and Jack- son plans to return to Michigan for an official visit this fall, even though he has offers from dozens of big- time programs such as Alabama and Texas. He's a big, physical inside player who is one of the best run stoppers in the country. His natural athleticism will have to be honed in college, but he has the skills to be an every-down linebacker at the next level. OL AUSTIN ANDERSON Mineola High School • 6‑4, 290 Three-star recruit, No. 89 player in Texas and No. 45 offensive tackle nationally OL RILEY ANDERSON Mineola High School • 6‑5, 280 Three-star recruit, No. 90 player in Texas and No. 46 offensive tackle nationally The Anderson twins go on nearly every unofficial visit together — in- cluding a trip to Ann Arbor for Mich- igan's spring game. They're likely to head to the next level as a unit, and most schools in the mix — such as Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M — plan to give them the opportunity to do just that. As similar as their recruitments are, the playing style for each of the Andersons is a spitting image of the other, as well. Riley is a bit taller than his twin, but both have the athleti- cism and arm length to be offensive tackles at the next level. ❏ Signees From Hotbeds, 2011-15 Michigan's national recruiting slowed down under the previous staff, but the Wolverines project to return to the hot- beds under Jim Harbaugh. CALIFORNIA 2011 K Matt Wile San Diego Francis Parker • 6‑2, 210 Two‑star recruit and unranked 2012 OL Erik Magnuson Carlsbad La Costa Canyon • 6‑6, 275 Four‑star recruit, No. 12 player in Cali‑ fornia, and No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 78 overall prospect nationally FLORIDA 2011 OL Tony Posada Tampa Plant • 6‑6, 315 Three‑star recruit and unranked
