EVENT RECAPS 2015 SPRING SOCIAL TOUR The 2015 Virginia Athletics Foundation's Spring Social Tour wrapped up on May 27 in Richmond. Over 1,800 VAF members and fans from four states had the oppor- tunity to mingle with UVa head and assis- tant coaches and current student-athletes during the 13-city tour. "The Voice of the Cavaliers" Dave Koehn emceed this year's tour, which featured head football coach Mike London and head men's basketball coach Tony Ben- nett. The two head coaches were joined by several assistant coaches and student- athletes. Attendees in Roanoke, where the tour kicked off on April 21, heard from Dana Boyle and learned about her ex- perience playing women's lacrosse and interning for VAF on the suites and events team. Greater Washington guests learned from Mike Tobey about his personal hard- ships managing his above average height off the court and coach Brad Soderberg greeted donors and fans in Fredericks- burg just days after he officially joined the men's basketball staff. Lynchburg fans learned how Anthony Gill and Jack Salt like to wrestle when they're on the road, while Coach Bennett gave Atlanta insight on the upcoming season. In New- port News, Coach London was welcomed with a standing ovation and discussed personal stories of triumph among his players.
