MICHIGAN RECRUITING Southfield (Mich.) High run- ning back Matt Falcon is a 6-1, 210-pounder who is listed as the No. 7 player in Michigan and the No. 12 tailback nationally. Like Pe- ters and Davis, he committed to Michigan the first week of June. He hopes to enroll early, but will have to work out a plan with his high school, since Southfield has never had a student-athlete graduate a se- mester early. Farmington (Mich.) linebacker Da- vid Reese is a 6-1, 238-pounder who is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 12 player in Michigan and the No. 23 inside linebacker nationally. Southfield (Mich.) High running back Matt Falcon tore his ligament in a pre- season scrimmage. He will sit out the year and prepare to head to Michigan. Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic defensive back Antwaine Richardson suffered his knee injury in March, and even earned his U-M scholarship offer at the Wolverines' South Florida satellite camp prior to his surgery to repair the tear. There is a silver lining for both players, whose injuries will allow them to get ahead academically and enroll at Michi- gan in January. • Although he considers himself solidly committed to Michigan, Prattville (Ala.) High running back Kingston Davis plans to use all five of his official visits. He has his eye on Nebraska, Florida, LSU and Ole Miss to join Michigan on his visit schedule this fall. • Michigan's 2016 recruiting class ranked No. 6 nationally as of Sept. 21. Ohio State, LSU, Florida State, USC, and Ole Miss were ahead of the Maize and Blue, with Miami not far behind. Of that group, Michigan has more pledges (22) than all but the Hurricanes. However, U-M's group may not be as close to completion as some others, with a class expected to reach 25-28 signees. If highly ranked prospects are among the additional three to six pledges, there's room for the Wolverines to move up the charts. MATT FALCON
