FOOTBALL RECRUITING dred other players from his home- town. He has all five official visits scheduled, and took his first to Ann Arbor for the UNLV game. DEVIN BUSH 5-11, 224 • Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan Four-star talent, No. 25 player in Florida, and No. 6 inside linebacker and No. 171 overall prospect in the nation Michigan once l o o k e d l i k e a heavy favorite for Bush, who has two classmates at Fla- nagan, defensive backs Josh Me- tellus and Devin G i l , c o m m i t t e d to the Maize and B l u e . H o w e v e r, the son of former Florida State standout (and Flanagan coach) Devin Bush Sr. is taking his time with the process. Despite a lack of ideal height for the position, Bush is instinctive and athletic enough to dart into the back- field against the run or to cover run- ning backs out of the backfield. Most of all, he's a hard-nosed inside player of the variety that Jim Harbaugh has excelled with at his previous stops. TERRANCE DAVIS 6-4, 307 • Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Four-star recruit, No. 1 player in Maryland, and No. 2 offensive guard and No. 46 overall prospect in the land Like Bush, Davis once seemed like a near lock to join the Michigan class, but has decided to take his time and let a bit of the col- lege season play out. U-M is still considered the fa- vorite, and with prime contender M a r y l a n d s e e - ing early season struggles, it seems l i k e l y t h a t t h e Maize and Blue will be able to main- tain their lead. Davis is a massive yet athletic of- fensive lineman, with the barrel- chested build to be a guard, but more quickness in his feet than the average payer at that position. That should allow him to excel in a pulling-guard system, like the one Michigan runs. CARLO KEMP 6-3, 250 • Boulder (Colo.) Fairview Four-star prospect, No. 1 recruit in Colorado, and No. 9 weakside defen- sive end and No. 203 overall player nationally Michigan's defense under D.J. Durkin requires a hybrid defensive lineman/outside l i n e b a c k e r, a n d K e m p ' s a b i l i - ties fit that mold. While he's pri- m a r i l y b e e n a d e f e n s i v e e n d t h ro u g h o u t h i s high school ca- reer, he's playing middle linebacker as a senior and improving his lateral mobility. Kemp will take official visits
