BASKETBALL RECRUITING the newly minted four-star will be mak- ing unofficial visits to Nevada (Sept. 3), UNLV (Sept. 8) and Memphis (Sept. 19). Floyd has offers from all three schools. He camped at Michigan over the summer, but admitted he didn't know much about the program. Beilein saw him at his school the week of Sept. 13. BRIAN BOWEN, SF LaPorte (Ind.) La Lumiere Rivals.com's No. 21 junior nationally The five-star Bowen is former Michigan State star Jason Richardson's cousin, and many — if not most — believe he'll end up at MSU. He recently trans- ferred from Saginaw Arthur Hill, where he earned all-state hon- ors after averaging 19 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two blocks a game as a sophomore. He lists North Carolina State, Michigan, St. John's, Indiana, Miami, Nebraska, Florida, Ala- bama, Maryland, Cornell, UNLV, Missouri, Michigan State, Providence, Texas Tech, Kansas, USC, Creighton, Oregon, Texas, Duke and Tennessee. "I like to win," he said. "I never like to lose, so as far as a school, I want to go to a winning school. I want a school that really likes to get up and down the court." Butler, Illinois, In- diana, Kansas, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Xavier have offered, while U-M, Michigan State and Georgetown are interested. Wilkes hasn't made any college visits recently, but he plans to be active in the fall and winter. "I want to get to most of the schools that I like. I've been talking a lot to Michigan State," he said. "I'd like to get there and probably Georgetown." He said he's developed a rapport with Michigan. "I really like the relationship with the coaches," he said. "I think it's a good school. I see a couple players that look like me that have played similar posi- tions. I think that would be a good fit." ZACH GUNN, SF Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern Rivals.com three-star prospect Gunn holds offers from Butler and Indiana, and he's look- ing for more interest. He visited Michigan for its College Practice Camp in June and was impressive. He also played well at the July Under Armour tourna- ment finals. "He shot 3 for 6 from the arc and had some timely threes when the game was tight," Peegs.com wrote. "He finished
