COMMITMENT PROFILE FILM EVALUATION Strengths: Kemp is a smart, hard-working player on the field. He shows an outstanding motor in pursuing quarterbacks and rushers. His knowledge of the game — and how the opposing team is trying to beat him — helps him succeed. He's a natural rushing off the edge, but he also has some lateral mobility to his game at the linebacker position. He turns and runs fluidly, and is an intimidat- ing force at the second level, where not many players are 250 pounds. Areas Of Improvement: Kemp will have to refine his physique at the next level. He is a thickly built kid, but sculpting from a naturally large player into one who is muscle-bound and lacks any bad weight will be an adjustment. Kemp will also have to adjust to a higher level of competition in college. Colorado is not the most competitive state, and he only saw players with com- parable talent or better on rare occasions. He'll have to make the most out of his gifts when the opposition has players with the same ability. Michigan Player Comparison: Brandon Graham (2006-09) was a better quick-twitch athlete, but in terms of build and skill set, he's a very close com- parison to Kemp. He also played linebacker in high school with the understand- ing that a move to the defensive line was in the cards for his college future. — Analysis from TheWolverine.com
