INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS Getting To Know Redshirt Junior Defensive Tackle Willie Henry Redshirt junior defensive tackle Willie Henry has become a mainstay on the defensive line for Michigan and has recorded 28 tackles from his interior spot up front through 10 games. The Cleveland native ranks second on the team with 9.5 tackles for loss and leads the squad with six sacks. Nickname: "Big Earl. My middle name is Earl, so it just comes from that. It started in high school. I have three first names so a lot of people called me Willie Earl and it just kind of stuck." Favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor: "My favorite restaurant is probably The Brown Jug." Best meal he can cook by himself: "Probably chicken Alfredo. It's not too hard, but I can do it pretty good." Sports he plays besides football: "Baseball was my first sport I ever played. Then it was all football." Hobbies: "I like to relax. I play Playstation 4 a lot. I'm a Call of Duty fan. I've been on Madden a lot lately." Favorite TV show: "My favorite show is 'Martin,' but I've got about three — 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'Breaking Bad' are both really good, too." Favorite movie: "Whew, that's a tough one. It would probably have to be 'Next Friday.'" Dream vacation: "I'll just say the Bahamas." Favorite football venue: "That's easy, The Big House." Favorite professional athlete: "My favorite athlete … that's a tough one, of all time? That's a loaded question. It would probably have to be, in my era, LeBron James. I'm a Cleveland guy so I got to go with LeBron." Why he chose football over baseball: "I liked the contact of football. I'm a big, physical guy. I grew into a football player, and I was rough and tough growing up." What he hopes to do after football at Michigan: "I want to work in the Secret Service." His overall U-M experience: "Michigan has been the best experience I've had in my life. Meeting the guys on this team, the coaches, former players, regular students on campus, it's all been great since I've been here." — Brandon Brown Henry led Michigan with six sacks and ranks sec- ond with 9.5 tackles for loss through the season's first 10 contests.
