NFL NOTES For games played Nov. 19‑23 • The Chicago Bears waived quarterback Jimmy Clausen (played at Notre Dame from 2007‑09) fol‑ lowing a 17‑15 loss to the Denver Broncos. Clausen completed 23 of 40 passes for 184 yards with one interception in two games (one start) this season. • Minnesota Vikings safety Robert Blanton (2008‑11) recorded one tackle in a 30‑13 loss to the Green Bay Packers. • Broncos safety David Bruton (2005‑08) notched four tackles in the 17‑15 win over the Bears. • Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert (2009‑12) caught three passes for 22 yards and two touchdowns in a 34‑31 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Through 11 weeks, he led the NFL with 11 touchdown receptions. • Tennessee Titans tight end Anthony Fasano (2002‑05) registered two receptions for 14 yards in a 19‑13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. • Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd (2008‑11) was inactive for the 34‑31 win over the Bengals due to injury. • Dallas Cowboys right guard Zack Martin (2009‑13) helped pave the way for a 24‑14 win over the Miami Dolphins in quarterback Tony Romo's return from in‑ jury. The victory snapped a seven‑game losing streak for the Cowboys. • Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick (2009‑12) registered six carries for 14 yards and five receptions for 72 yards in an 18‑13 win over the Oakland Raiders. • Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph (2008‑10) caught six passes for 106 yards and one touchdown in a 30‑13 loss to the Packers. • Vikings safety Harrison Smith (2007‑11) recorded four tackles in the 30‑13 loss to the Packers. • Lions wide receiver Golden Tate (2007‑09) snagged eight passes for 73 yards in an 18‑13 victory over the Raiders. • San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te'o returned to action after missing four games due to an ankle injury and notched five tackles in a 33‑3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. • San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Ian Williams (2007‑10) recorded four tackles in a 29‑13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. • Jaguars safety Sergio Brown (2006‑09), Cardinals tight end Troy Niklas (2011‑13), New York Jets cor‑ nerback Darrin Walls (2006‑10) and Jaguars offensive lineman Sam Young all played but did not start or record a stat in week 11. • Through week 11, a total of 34 former Irish play‑ ers appeared on an NFL roster, including those that are out for the remainder of the season due to injury. Only five have yet to appear in a game — Detroit Lions center Braxston Cave (2008‑12), New Eng‑ land Patriots linebacker Darius Fleming (2008‑11), New York Giants defensive back Bennett Jackson (2010‑13), Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Ben Koyack (2011‑14) and Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Kona Schwenke (2010‑13). Schwenke moved from defensive line, where he played at ND, to offensive line with Seattle. NBA NOTES Through Nov. 24 • New York Knicks guard Jerian Grant (2010‑15) was averaging 5.9 points, 2.9 assists and 2.2 re‑ bounds per game in the first 15 contests of his pro‑ fessional career. • Fellow rookie Pat Connaughton (2011‑15) of the Portland Trail Blazers was averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 minutes in his first four NBA games. ✦
