for the 2014 campaign. Notre Dame began that sea‑ son 6‑0 and nearly topped No. 2 Florida State, but finished the regular season with five losses in six games, and defeats in the final four. Months later, Golson announced his transfer to FSU. At the pro day, Golson will be reunited with his former team‑ mates and will participate in drills with receivers Will Fuller, Chris Brown and Amir Carlisle. "Ev's my boy and if he was granted the opportunity to come I would not mind that whatsoever," Brown said at the NFL Combine. — Andrew Owens UNDER THE DOME OUTDOOR HOCKEY COMING TO NOTRE DAME? One of the most popular creations by any of the four professional sports leagues in recent years has been the Winter Classic outdoor hockey games. Sportsnet reported in late February that the NHL is interested in hosting such an event at Notre Dame Stadium. Irish director of athletics Jack Swarbrick confirmed the interest with The Chicago Tribune. "Once the Campus Crossroads project is finished, we do anticipate that Notre Dame Stadium will be an excellent venue for more than just Notre Dame football games, but no additional events have yet been scheduled," Swarbrick told The Tribune. "And while we would certainly have an interest in exploring the possibility of playing host to outdoor hockey games, we have not had any discussions with the NHL about doing so." The Campus Crossroads, the $400 million project renovating Notre Dame Stadium, is set to be completed during the summer of 2017. The Chicago Blackhawks would appear to be a logical team for such an event, due not only to proximity but also because the organization has spent portions of its preseason training camp in recent years at Notre Dame's Comp‑ ton Family Ice Arena. The general manager of the reigning Stanley Cup champions is 1995 Notre Dame graduate Stan Bowman. — Andrew Owens Golson, who played for the Irish from 2011-12 and '14 before using his fifth year of eligibility at Florida State last year, was slated to participate in Notre Dame's Pro Day March 31.
