MEN'S LACROSSE (3‑7 OVERALL, 0‑2 BIG TEN) After opening the season 3‑2, Michi‑ gan dropped five consecutive contests, including a tough 8‑7 defeat in its Big Ten opener at home against No. 5 Maryland April 2 … Senior attack Kyle Jackson led the team with 23 goals and 29 points, while junior attack Ian King topped the Wolverines with 14 assists … U‑M will finish out the regular sea‑ son in April before potentially heading to the Big Ten Tournament May 5‑7 in Baltimore. WOMEN'S LACROSSE (5‑8 OVERALL, 0‑2 BIG TEN) Michigan has lost three games by a single goal, including 12‑11 at No. 7 Florida Feb. 13 and 10‑9 against No. 18 Ohio State April 2 … Junior midfielder Kim Coughlan led the Wolverines with 25 goals and 29 points in the 13 con‑ tests, while junior attacker Tess Korten posted 25 goals and 27 points … Michi‑ gan will play its entire Big Ten schedule in the month of April before competing in the Big Ten Tournament May 5‑8 in Evanston, Ill. MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING (11‑0 OVERALL, 6‑0 BIG TEN) Michigan finished 12th at the NCAA Championships March 23‑26 in Atlanta … There were multiple notable per‑ formances: sophomore Paul Powers finished fifth in the 50‑yard freestyle, senior Anders Lie Nielsen took eighth in the 500‑yard freestyle and senior Dylan Bosch finished sixth in the 200‑yard butterfly … Powers, Lie Nielsen and Bosch took home individual All‑Amer‑ ica honors, while Lie Nielsen (100, 200 freestyle), Bosch (200 IM) sophomore PJ Ransford (500, 1,650 freestyle) and sophomore Evan White (200 butterfly) received honorable mention All‑Amer‑ ica accolades … Several current and former Wolverines, including Denmark's Lie Nielsen and South Africa's Bosch, will attempt to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics over the course of April.
