"Certainly," he said. "Kenny is very good. He has a very good sense of how much he can handle, physically. He's not going to wear himself out, so he can certainly do it all. "Ideally, you would have a different person for everything, but the really ideal thing is to have the best guy at each spot. If he happens to be the best guy at each spot, we're good with that. There's still a long ways to go, and that's one position where you can really develop quite a bit in the offseason, more so than in other spots where it's more just strength and conditioning." Meanwhile, Harbaugh noted, Michigan's return men constitute a very strong challenge. Early entry freshman Kareem Walker has joined an already capable group of return men: fifth-year senior wideout Jehu Chesson, senior cornerback Jourdan Lewis, redshirt sophomore defensive back/linebacker Jabrill Peppers and senior safety Dymonte Thomas. "That group as a whole is really, really good," Harbaugh said. "I'd be surprised if there is a better group, as a whole, in the country. All those guys are pretty dangerous." Harbaugh also noted Michigan will be mixing protections on punts. "We're going to have a bunch of different things," Harbaugh said. "The shield will be one of the things we do. We're going to be kind of hybrid — a little bit of everything." — John Borton Fifth-year senior Kenny Allen kicked and punted in the bowl game last year and could see more double duty this fall.
