106 ■ THE WOLFPACKER WOLFPACK FOOTBALL NC State Unveils Throwback Uniforms NC State announced that for the Notre Dame game Oct. 8, it will wear throwback uniforms in honor of the 50th anniversary celebration of Carter-Finley Stadium. Notably, the Pack will wear its diamond logo on white helmets that former coach Dick Sheridan made popular in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s before NCSU changed to its block 'S' design in 2000. ■ NC State wore the diamond logo that will be featured on the throwback uniforms' helmet from 1986-2000.
