JULY 2016 ■ 7 ■ From Head Football Coach Dave Doeren Excitement is building around Raleigh for the 2016 football season. Wolfpack Nation has once again surpassed all expectations. Sea- son tickets and mini-PACKS were completely sold out before the end of June. NC State fans continue to prove that they are the best in the nation. It's the calm before the storm for our coach- ing staff. Our summer camps for high school players were a big success, with hundreds of prospects able to see our campus and get to know our coaches and players. Preseason camp is less than a month away, so we're all using the break to spend some time away with our fami- lies. I hope that you are all able to do the same. The remainder of the #Pack16 recruiting class have arrived on campus, and they are completely immersed in our Summer START program. Our team is making great strides in the strength and conditioning training program. This is the time — when the lights are off and the stadium is empty — that champions are made. Our guys have really embraced that idea and are giving great efforts. Right after the Fourth of July, our players also started using our newly renovated locker room in the Murphy Center. Our locker room has received a total make- over with custom lockers, flooring, graphics and hi-definition monitors. This much-needed project is a showing of the amazing support from our athletic department to keep our facili- ties the best in the country. 1Pack1Goal Coach Doeren
