hen the bar is set as high
as head coach Red Beren-
son has elevated Michigan
hockey's standard in his
illustrious career, it's hard to always
meet expectations. The 2015-16 squad
started with the basics after three years
of missing the NCAA Tournament —
this following a 22-year tournament
Michigan's average of 4.76 goals per game
led the nation and was the program's high-
est mark since 1996-97 (5.63).
