Larkin enjoyed an All-Star rookie
season with the Red Wings, finishing
with 45 points, five game-winning
goals and a plus-11 rating. He earned
NHL Rookie of the Month honors in
November.
Larkin finished among the league's
rookie leaders with his 23 goals (tied
for third), 22 assists (11th), 45 points
(sixth), plus-11 rating (tied for fifth),
five game-winning goals (tied for sec-
ond), 221 shots on goal (second) and
16:32 average time on ice (fifth among
forwards).
He was named the Red Wings'
Rookie of the Year by the Detroit
Sports Broadcasters Association and
was the first Detroit rookie to make
the All-Star game since Steve Yzer-
man in the 1980s.

wheel and skate alongside great play-
ers who I grew up watching," Lar-
