much smoother trip.
"I can't say how proud I am of
Nyles because he stays in the hum-
ble lane," Thomas said when asked
about his son's development at Notre
Dame. "I know that success will
bring all kinds of distractions, but at
the same time — if you keep humility
first — you'll be able to see that stuff
heading your way and you'll be able
to push the things back that will pull
you down quickly.
"Staying in the humble lane is very
important." ✦
Despite playing most of his senior season with a dinged shoulder, Morgan started each of Notre Dame's first 10 contests and ranked second on the team with
71 tackles (five for loss).
