Commitment Updates Games played Nov. 10-11 unless otherwise noted • New Orleans McDonogh 35 wide receiver Law- rence Keys was scheduled to officially visit Notre Dame for the Navy game Nov. 18, but was unable to make the trip due to his team's playoff schedule. Keys, a three-star prospect, is working on re- scheduling the trip, but does not have a concrete date set. Notre Dame is a top school for Keys, along with in-state LSU, Houston and a few others. • Notre Dame running back commit Jahmir Smith of Sanford (N.C.) Lee County was selected to play in the 81st annual Shrine Bowl of the Caro- linas, which features the top high school prospects from the state of North Carolina and South Caro- lina facing off. The 2017 game will be held at Gibbs Stadium Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. in Spartanburg, S.C. • Blairstown (N.J.) Blair Academy four-star de- fensive end Jayson Oweh will officially visit Notre Dame for the annual Echoes award ceremony Dec. 8. Oweh, the No. 9 strongside defensive end and No. 179 overall player in the nation according to Ri- vals, has visited Notre Dame twice before, but the Irish are likely in the second-tier group currently, playing catch up with schools such as Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan. However, Oweh is a top tar- get for the Irish coaching staff, and just getting him back on campus is a big win for Notre Dame. The four-star is planning to announce his commitment at the Under Amour All-American Game Jan. 4 in Orlando, Fla. • Norcross (Ga.) Wesleyan tight end Tommy Tremble made a third trip to Notre Dame to take in the Navy game. Tremble, Rivals' No. 3 tight end in Georgia in the class of 2018, took an official visit to Notre Dame for the USC game Oct. 21 and returned for an unof- ficial visit. Blue & Gold Illustrated has seen Notre Dame as the leader in Tremble's recruitment for a long time now, and a second game-day visit is certainly indicative of that. Tremble is also considering Georgia, UCLA and Michigan. — Corey Bodden and David McKinney RECRUITING NOTES Follow @BGI_CoreyBodden and @BGI_DMcKinney on Twitter for daily recruiting updates available on BlueandGold.com!
